A Personal Approach to Healing
Choosing a therapist is an important, personal decision. Therapy is more than just talking- it's intentional conversation through which I strive to create a safe, healthy environment for you to process life experiences.
In your first session with me I will prioritize understanding your history and focusing on how that history may be impacting your experiences today. From there, we focus on symptom management, treatment goals, improving relationships, and healing from past trauma.
The Mind-Body Connection
I believe our bodies keep the score, so while your mind may not hold onto traumatic or troublesome thoughts, our bodies store this information, resulting in somatic experiences that I will help you work through.
My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is evidence-based, and utilizes CBT, EMDR, and somatic experiencing techniques. Relationship building and trust are most important to me when building rapport with clients.
Specialization in Eating Disorders
I am trained in providing effective treatment for eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. I practice from a HAES (Health at Every Size) perspective, offering support that is weight-inclusive, respectful, and empowering.
